Mormorsfiltar- Granny square blankets

I really love crochet granny square blankets, (or afghan blankets as they also are called) and have two big ones at home that really makes me happy. I am also crocheting a babyblanket for our coming baby, 50 squares are finished, only 50 squares left... But it is 2 months until estimated birth, so I still have time ;)

Before I started on the blanket I was surfing the web for inspiration, and found a lot lovely blanket inspiration on Etsy. Striped ones, rainbow-colored, with triangles etc. I decided though to make a classic one myself, with different colors and black as a base. But I am very fond of all the ones above, and thinking about buying one also, so we have one for the bed and one to use in the stroller. ;) As it takes MANY hours to finish a blanket, I must say the prices on the ones I have found above are  REALLY  priceworthy!

One of my favorite blogs is finnish "My second hand life". Always showing inspiring pictures, and has a mixed, personal home style that really appeals to me. I could move in this home right away and not change a thing ;) Paavo (the boy in the family) has got a new room, and I love everything about it. The white base and furnitures among with all the color and the lovely wallpaper "Gran" by Elisabeth Dunker/Fine little day (need to put it up somewhere at home) gives the room such a graphic, lively feeling!

Today this fine book arrived to work, Print and Pattern- kids. It is a book filled with patterns from 102 selected designer from all over the world. And Little studio is one of them! 

We are so happy and proud today! :)

I wish I lived in Finland

I think it is very hard to find simple but nice bed sheets. Especially that does not cost a fortune. But last day I found the finnish brand Anno. Love at first sight!! Exactly the type of sheets that I have been looking for so long. Simple and graphic, and also has a real good price! Those I must order straight ahead I thinked. But when I am going to the checkout to pay I realise they only ship within Finland... Si now I keep my fingers crossed that this brand soon will come to Sweden!!
